Update on our household

David has been able to go back to work this week fulltime. He is still taking it easy, but getting better everyday. On Monday he goes to the doctor for a check up.
Parker has 3 more weeks of preschool and then he is out for the summer months. I am tempted to sign him up for wonderful wednesdays at our church this summer. Just so he has something to do. But I have already been trying to think of things to do to occupy his time.
Caleb is still measuring 1-1/2 weeks ahead of schedule. Not sure if this means he is coming earlier than June 12, but I am keeping my fingers crossed.
I have now completed my outdoor cushions and boy does it feel great to have them complete. We have enjoyed sitting outside on them. I have also completed new curtains for Parker's room, just waiting on Daddy to hang the new rods in Parker's and Caleb's rooms.
I am tempted to sew some curtains for our kitchen, but we will have to see.
This weekend we are going to go to a strawberry farm and Parker can't wait to go pick them. He wanted to go "now", this is what he told me in the car today.
On Sunday my good friend/former caregiver of Parker is giving me a diaper shower for Caleb. I am really blessed to have her do this for us and I am looking forward to a little girl time.
Below are pictures of Parker when Kelly took care of him all day for us while we were in the ER for David. Parker didn't ask once where we were or cry for us.
Parker playing outside at Kelly's house
They went to a birthday party and took Parker with them. At the end of the day, he didn't want to leave. So Kelly's brother let Parker sit in his real race car. Parker loved it so much.
All smiles and feeling pretty big for sitting in a real race car.

Happy Easter!

This morning, Parker and I went to visit Daddy this morning at the hospital and bring me breakfast from Panera Bread. While we were there they said that David could be discharged very shortly. So we left the hospital at 1:00 to come home. David is in a lot of pain and resting right now. Parker and I are about to go get his prescriptions filled so Daddy pain killer won't be too far behind the last one.
Thanks for all your prayers and phone calls to catch in with us this weekend. This isn't how we had hoped to celebrate Easter, but we are praising God that we will able to catch this appendicitis before it burst. I now that David is relieved that all the severe pain that he had since Friday night at 8:00 is gone.
Last week we had an Easter egg hunt with some friends of ours. These are the picturs of Parker having so much fun doing it and boy did he run fast to look for eggs. We are hoping to have one this afternoon with him, but it probably won't be as exciting with just himself.
Hope you have had a wonderful Easter and celebrating that Christ is Risen indeed!

Drum Roll on the Cushions!

Here is the first pair of chair cushions completed with the rod iron painted white. I just love the outcome of them and still can't believe that I made them. So far I have a total of 7 cushions sewn and only 3 more to go. So I believe that I will be done with my cushions by the time baby Caleb comes into this world. We will now be able to enjoy our backyard even more with these completed.

Update on Caleb

On Friday, we had our recheck ultrasound at 30 weeks to see if my placenta had moved up. Praise the Lord that it did and that I can have a normal delivery. Caleb is in position with his head down. I can't imagine being upside down for that long, but he doesn't seem to mind it and enjoys kicking me so much. It was really neat to see what he looked like at 30 weeks, he is much bigger now and weighs 3 lbs 11 oz and his growth is what a 31 weeks, 3 days baby looks like. So we might have him earlier than June 12th. The doctors will know more at 36 weeks to see how far I am progressing if he is to come earlier.
Yesterday, I was able to see that he is sucking his thumb and it was so cute to see that on the ultrasound. I was a thumb sucker as a child and I wonder if Caleb will be one as well outside of the womb.
So here we come to the downhill to June 12th. Stay tuned of how things progress. We are very anxious to see who he looks like and get to know him.
