Caleb is growing

Caleb is growing up already. Today we had Caleb's 2-1/2 week check up. He weighed in at 9 lbs. 11 oz. and is 22-1/4 inches long. So he has gaines 1-1/2 pounds since leaving the hospital and grown one inch. He is now going through a fussy stage with major gas problems in the bowels and burps. I am really hoping that he will grow out of this stage soon, since all he wants to do is be held by my. Bath time in the big tub with Parker. We have been able to start giving Caleb a bath now. Parker thinks it is cool to have his brother in his tub.
Sleeping so peacefully in his own crib.
Picture of Caleb on the light box for the jaundice. We had him on this for 5 days. So glad that he is off and doing much better.
Our first family photo, although it isn't the best. I guess it will hard to get a good picture of all of us when we have kids that don't want their picture taken.

We are home from the Hospital

We came home today around 1:30. It was very strange to leave the hospital with 4 of us in the car. We are now officially a family of 4. Parker is very proud of his little brother and keeping touching him in the car. He would tell us to not look at them. I guess he wanted his own private moment with his brother in the backseat. Parker posed with Caleb while we cooked dinner tonight.
Caleb is very precious and I think he does look a like Parker did. The only thing is that his face isn't as round or the cheeks like Parker. They both had the same hair color when we looked back at Parker's pictures tonight.

My boys. Finally Parker posed for us and it was too cute to pass up.

Parker held Caleb the first night, but I was in the restroom at the time so no one was able to take his photo. Whenver we asked Parker to hold him again, he would say I already did that.
Well we were able to get a photo of Parker holding Caleb. Too cute.

Proud mommy of Caleb. He is so beautiful and I am so lucky to be his mother.

My precious boys!

I always knew that I would have all boys. I am so blessed to be the mother to Parker and Caleb. Amazing how the emotions of being a parent again is so wonderful. Here is a great picture that David took last night before he left with Parker for the evening.

The time has come

Well on Friday, June 5th we are going to the hospital at 6:00 am to be induced.
Caleb doesn't seem to want to come out yet on his own, even though I am 3.5 cm dilated. He is too comfortable inside and causing a lot of pain on Mommy. Of course we have had a few false labors and one that we actually went in for this week to the doctor's office. They told no that I wasn't in labor. Not sure why both of my boys got too comfortable in the womb. Parker was in there a day past his due date.
So today I have been trying to do some last minute errands and laundry to prepare for not being here for the next 3 days. It is hard to believe that the time has come for us to meet Caleb Reid. We are all excited to see who he looks like and to add another member to our family. I am not looking forward to the pain of labor or the sleepless nights for the next several months. But at least I do know that it does get better with time.
Stay tuned for pictures of Caleb and the family. I will try to post some of them as soon as we can. The hospital has internet access in the rooms, so at least I will be able to take my laptop with me to content with family and friends.
