Our Christmas at Home

Before we drove to St. Louis for Christmas, we celebrated our Christmas at our house on Dec. 22nd. Parker really loved opening all his presents and still wanted more. This is the first Christmas that he got excited about the decorations and of course the presents. He even wanted to open up his cousins gifts before we even left for St. Louis.
Parker wanted Legos this year and got many sets of them. Daddy has really enjoyed building them with him.

Granddaddy got Parker a big boy bike for Christmas. Boy has Parker really enjoyed his bike and riding all around our neighborhood.
Parker looking over his new bike. I think he was in shock.

Next year at this time we will be having a 6 month old around the house. It will be very different to have another child (baby) around the house. We are all looking forward to it and I am sure Parker will love to open new babies gifts next year.

Parker's Class Party

Parker's Class Christmas Party was a lot of fun for me to see him with his friends. He really enjoyed having me in the classroom that day and was proud of the Christmas cookies that I made for them. Parker playing an instrument.

Our House Decorated for Christmas

Here are some pictures of what our looks like from the outside all decorated for Christmas. Parker loves all the lights outside and was telling us where else we should put more. So we might just have to had more to the house next year. Parker small sled that is supposed to be an inside decoration, but he wanted it next to the other ones outside. He asked me to take his picture with it.

Parker standing in front of the sleds. He really hopes we can use them in AL, for when the snow comes. Only thing is we hardly ever see snow in AL.
Parker standing in front of the small trees in pront of our front porch.

Hopefully you can see Parker standing at the stairs. He wanted to make sure he was in the picture of the house whole. This is my favorite time of the year and it looks like Parker has gotten my trait with the love of Christmas Decorations all over the place.

Gingerbread House

Yesterday, Parker and I made a gingerbread house together while the baby slept. I told Parker that we would make it once Jace went down for his nap. Well Parker was at the table 10 minutes before I put Jace down for a nap and Parker told me to go put him down. Can you tell he was very excited to make a house out of candy and icing. A kids dream come true!!! Parker new pose when you ask him to take his picture.

An action shot of Parker putting the gum balls on the house. Gum balls are his favorite.

The final picture of our beautiful house. Parker really enjoyed doing this project on a non-school day. Later on we made more Christmas cookies together. He loves eating Mommies homemade goodies.

Parker's Christmas Tree

Parker is just like his mommy with "loving" Christmas time with all the decorations, lights and music. He gets so excited when we are out and about to see decorations. Parker was so excited to get the real Christmas tree this year.
He cried that we couldn't put the lights on the tree the first night we had the tree. So he decided to put some pillows on the floor and lay down to look at the tree from a better view.
This is Parker own Christmas tree in his room and the lights have to stay on all the time.
At Parker's birthday party we did a craft to make homemade salt dough ornaments. So Parker was able to hang several on his own creation on his tree this year and was thrilled. They were all bunch in the same area. Then I helped him put on other ornaments all over his tree.

Parker in action putting his homemade ornaments on the tree. He was very proud of them.

Parker's Birthday in St. Louis

On Thanksgiving Day it was Parker's birthday. We had two T-day meals that day, one at my parents house and the other with my sister, Rachael's house. We were staying with my sister and she was hosting her hubby's family Thanksgiving at her house. Rachael's mother-in-law got Parker a birthday present to open on his special day. He finally got the screaming banshee that he had been asking for over a month. Boy did he love it and not want anyone else to touch it. On Friday night we celebrated with the cousins the Fall Birthday's with one big party.
Happy Bithday Samuel, Henry, Will and Parker.

Will and Parker with Kate and Papa looking over there shoulders while everyone sings Happy Birthday to the boys. (Samuel and Henry were sick that night and stayed back at my parents house with their daddy)

Will and Parker blowing out there candles on the cake. They had so much fun together and playing no stop. Parker was very sad to leave St. Louis and is looking forward to going back to Will's house at Christmas time.

Our new Basement Office/Bathroom

In January we (I) decided to gut our nasty office & bathroom in the basement. It has been a long project but so worth it. We still have a few finishing touches to complete but at least we can be downstairs now and not be in a construction zone. Before construction David was the only to use the downstairs and it was his man room. Now that the area has been re-done, Parker and I love going down there to play in his new playroom. We still have the pool table that came with the house and hopefully soon we will be able to find a buyer for it. Right now I have put Parker's Geo Trak trian set on it.
Parker loves his new potty and has to go down here all day long to use it. Anything to make him potty train faster, is great with us.
The view looking into the den with the big TV. We put in french doors to make it more open and love it.
We were able to put a long sofa in the office, so if anyone wants to spend the night down here they can and have a great working bathroom.

Parker's 3rd Birthday Party

Parker had his 3rd birthday party this past Saturday and had a lot of fun playing with his school friends and of course his best buddy Aaron Seewald along with Grandaddy & Grandma Crossman.
The theme was "Lighting McQueen" from the Cars movie. Parker got a lot of cool gifts and of course more Cars themed toys. Parker posed for me to show off his new t-shirt that he got from Aunt Holly. He wanted to wear it to bed as well and keeps asking for it. I have to wash it today.
Parker was so thrilled that everyone was singing Happy Birthday to him!! Love the crazy hair due to the fact that his hat was on his head while outside playing on his Gator and Jeep.
Parker trying to blow out all 3 candles on his cake! I can't believe is 3 years old. He told us that he is getting older in a sad voice and we just chuckled!!!
We even had a pinata filled with candy. At least it was a new version and you pulled the strings on the bottom to find the one that opened the trap door. So now more swinging a bat around to break it open.
Parker driving his school friend Brant around in the Jeep!!
Aaron driving Parker, Gavin and Taylor around in the Gator. All the kids loved riding on these outside and the parents had some good laughs with the crazy driving that some kids did like driving into trees or bushes.

Parker and Aaron the best buds or brothers. Parker was thrilled to have Aaron at his party.

Playing in the leaves

This weekend we needed to rake the leaves to the road for the leaf pick-up this week. Parker had a lot of fun playing in the leaves. He looks really cute in his new hat & mittens that he kept asking me to buy him some for last few weeks. We laugh that he holds up his hands when he walks, it is like he thinks that the mittens will fall off if he puts his hands down.

2nd Doctor's visit

Yesterday I had my second doctor's visit and everything went really well. I was there for over 2 hours with baby Jace, while Parker was a school with Daddy having their Thanksgiving play and feast. They were able to hear the heartbeat and it was 176 beats. So things look really good and the doctor told me that I would probably start showing this week and feeling lots of pains since it is my second child. Which of course I have already been noticing that I am in more pain this time around. In about 8 more weeks we will be able to find out the sex of the baby. We are anxious to know what we are having and we have no clue what to name this baby. Parker's name was easy, but we are having a harder time this go around.

Halloween

I am a little late in getting these pictures posted. Sorry!! It has been a busy few weeks with candle shows.
Parker wanted to be Lighting McQueen for Halloween. The best part of the evening was Parker driving around the neighborhood on his Gator. He would stop at the mailbox and then run to the door and push the doorbell. He loved trick or treating this year and wanted to do it again the next night.

Our little DJ

The other morning, I caught Parker trying to put CD's in my laptop and he had his headset on his head. He looked too cute and I couldn't resist taking a picture of him in action.

We are having another baby!

We are adding another family member and the due date is June 12th. Yesterday we had our first doctor's visit. The doctor said the baby had a really good strong heartbeat and everything look good. We are offically 7 weeks and 5 days pregnant.
Parker was with us yesterday at the visit and I am sure he had no clue what these pictures were. We have told him we are having another baby, but it isn't sinking in yet. I am sure once my belly grows then he will understand.

Pumpkin Patch

Mommy and Parker in front of the big hay bale pumpkin face
Parker had fun riding one off the tractors on the farm. He didn't want to leave that afternoon, he needed to keep riding his tractor.
A tire swing that looks like a horse. Parker really enjoyed this horse ride.

Marching through the pumpkin patch looking for the perfect pumpkin!

I found one, look at my pumpkin.
Parker had a lot of fun at the Old Baker's farm. He enjoyed seeing the tractors and combines in person and working on the farm. Of course Parker didn't want to leave when it was time to go. Looks like we will have to make this a tradition.

Riding with my friends

The other night Kelly and Lee came over with Aaron and Gavin to pick up something. When they got here Parker was riding on the front lawn in his jeep. All three boys had so much fun playing with each other again. They sure miss each other and it is so cute to see them have lots of fun.

Parker was holding down the foot pedal for Gavin. Gavin didn't know how to make it go or steer. Parker was being so good with him.
