John Deere Gator

Parker loves John Deere toys and the movies. He has been telling us that he wants a John Deere hat for Christmas. We have put that on his list along with a John Deere t-shirt.
Well today as Daddy was walking to the bus stop he passed by this gator that someone was throwing away. So Parker and I decided to go check it out. Of course the battery is dead and we are not sure if it will work after it is charged. But Parker didn't care, he wanted "his gator" to come home. So off we went with Parker driving and mommy pushing it down the street. I am sure we were a sight to see, but Parker was so excited about his new toy.
Look at me in my "gator"
Now I have two (a Jeep and a Gator) Mommy!
He didn't want to get out of the Gator!

Parker loves School

This week Parker was dropped off in the carpool line in the morning for school. I let him get in the front seat with me once we were in the parking lot/carpool line while we wait for our turn.

I have noticed that other parents do this as well. It was a great way to get him excited about getting out of the car and going into school without Mommy. On Tuesday (the first day to try carpool), Parker cried to get out of the car and go to the teacher. But Wednesday and Thursday he was a champ. He told me bye mommy and walked in holding the teachers hand. Way to go Parker! I am so proud of him and so happy to be witnessing this milestone with Parker.

Parker's Second Day of School

Tuesday was Parker's first day of preschool for the 2008-2009 school year. I couldn't get a picture of him yesterday, since he threw a royal fit to get dressed and get in the car. He didn't want to leave Mommy and go to school. On our way to school, Mommy talked to Daddy on the cell phone about Parker not wanting to go to school. Daddy told Parker that if was good at being dropped off at school that Daddy would take him to the Toy Store and get ice cream after Dinner. Parker remembered all day what Daddy promised and boy was he excited to go.
He told Mommy goodbye and gave me a kiss and told me have a good time with my friend. (I -went out for coffee last night with a co-worker) When I got home Parker proudly showed me his 3 new cars from the Movie Cars and told me all about going to the store and getting ice cream.
Parker did much better this morning, cried a little bit when I dropped him off. So here are a few pictures of Parker and his new cars this morning before school.

Parker loves to color

Recently Parker has really gotten into coloring with markers and crayons. He discovered my sharpie markers that I used to have at work. Wow that stuff is really hard to get of clothes or the Island in our kitchen. So we decided to buy him crayola markers instead. He has been using them so much that we are going to have buy him more soon. Yesterday, we had been outside with baby Jace on this blanket in the grass, while Parker played on his bike. I had to go inside to make lunch and Parker wanted to stay outside and play. Soon after I had come back inside he came in to get his coloring book and crayons. He decided to color outside on the blanket and loved it. So this is the picture of him that I took of him coloring. I can't wait to see all the pretty artwork that he will do at school.
This is how I found him outside!

I found Mommy's make-up

Just a few minutes ago I was checking my e-mail and Parker got really quiet in the bathroom. I called out to him to see what he was doing. He told me "nothing"! Well once he came out of the bathroom, I saw what he was doing. He told me that he put on makeup "all by myself" on his face. So here are a few pictures to show what he did.
Also today, we went to Parker's preschool to pay our fee for the month and to meet the teachers for the first time. He starts school next week on the 19th and will go each week very Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. We are so excited for him to start this year and to learn so much more. He has really enjoyed going to school for the last 2 years and hope that this year will be the same.

Parker loves the Disney Movie Cars. As you can see he has a few of them and will play with them all day long and takes them with us everywhere.

We love Ice Cream

Parker loves to eat Ice Cream at home and at the Ice Cream Shop. There are two places that we go to get Ice Cream, it is either Bruster's or Ben & Jerry's. This evening we went to Ben & Jerry's, which means Parker and I will be sharing a cone together (at Bruster' they give you a free kiddie cone). Parker didn't want Mommy to hold the cone or eat from it. It finally gave in and I got to have some ice cream.
This is my Ice Cream!!!
Looking to see what kind of Ice Cream they have with Daddy.

Having Fun in my Own Pool

Early in the Summer we purchased a pool for Parker to cool off. However, we haven't used it much. So this week I decided to fill it up again so Parker could cool off while having a lot of fun outside.
I'm cool Man!
Look at me with my Ball!
I like to run & fall into the side of the pool!
Look at me run in my pool with my underwear on!
We have been trying to potty train all summer. Some days are better than others. Today was a really good day. I hope this means that he is figuring it out very soon.

Taking care of another baby

Today, I started to care for a 5 month old little boy named Jace. His mommy is a kindergaten teacher and school starts back in a few days. Jace is a very easy going boy and was such a joy to take care of today. Parker was really sweet with him and didn't like it that Jace had to take naps today. I am so relieved that Parker did really good today with Jace.
First Picture of Jace. He was really serious when he was
looking at the bubbles on the bouncey seat.
Parker didn't want me to take his picture. He told me to go take one of Jace.
