School Function

On Thursday night we have a fundraiser at Parker's school. The children all sang for us at the end and Parker was such a ham. He was constantly making faces at us when he didn't know the songs and then singing his heart out when he did know them. At the end off the production the children were given drumsticks. Parker didn't want to use them as drumsticks, but shooting guns instead. At the end of the song, one of his classmate Sophia had the sticks over her head and Parker got a nice whack on the forehead. He then let out a big whale and we just laughed at it. We got all of this on video and will enjoy showing him and his wife one day what he did when he was 3.
Having a bite to eat before the performance.
David and I were so proud of our silly son and can't believe this was the first of many school productions. We had a lot of fun seeing Parker's artwork as well during the festives.

Seven Months Pregnant

Okay, here is a picture of me at seven months pregnant. We were on our way to a wedding, so I asked David to take a picture of me so we could mark this moment in time. I am so ready for this pregnancy to be over (only 11 weeks to go). It seems like it is forever!! The aches and pains are so much worse this time around that I really think this will be my last pregnancy. Sad but true, at least we are open to adoption. I have always had that passion and we both would love to adopt a little girl. In Time, God will provide for us to do that. For now we are going to continue enjoy our two boys, Parker and Caleb.

Nesting has begun!!

Okay I must be nesting already. Caleb's closet is now organized with all the boy clothes from 0 months- 2T in tubs for easy access when we are ready for them.

These next 11 weeks are not going to be fun with the acid reflux already full blown and not sleeping well at night. I just pray that I will make it through this time. Parker is so sweet to Caleb already. He kisses and rubs my belly all the time and tells us that it is his Caleb, his best bud. We are thrilled to be having two boys in the family. They are going to be playmates one day when Caleb is old enough. One day, Parker told me that Caleb was going to come out as big and him. I sure hope not, that would be a big baby to be the size of Parker.

Two years ago we bought some antique rod iron furniture that retro flower pattern on them. I have been anxious to get new cushions and fabric. So David has been nice enough to let me use some of our tax return to make new ones. I got a quote last week from a past client of mine, but it was way too high. So I have decided to make the cushions myself. I have 10 of them to make by the time Caleb comes into this world. It is my goal to have a nice place to sit outside this summer with the boys.

Here is a picture of what our lovely old fabric sofa/chairs look like today. Once the cushions are done the rod iron painted white, I will post more picutres of them.

Third times a charm at the Beach

For Parker's spring break we went down to the beach as a family to stay with my parents. Parker now thinks my parents have a place at the beach and that we are to go there a lot of times. Parker and Daddy swimming in the big pool at the club. We had so much fun and I enjoyed relaxing and getting a tan.
Daddy and Parker went out to the sandbar to look for shells and sand dollars (or sea dollars is what Parker called them).

Parker looking really cool in his sunglasses. He never wants to wear them when we are home, but he decided that the sun was too bright so these helped him see better.

Daddy wanted to take Parker on the go-karts. Parker didn't let us forget to do this and really enjoyed riding along with Daddy. He wants to do it again with Daddy. So I think next year this will happen again.
Daddy and Parker getting ready to ride their first go-kart together.

Beach Time

Parker loved the pools and hot tub outside. The pool wasn't heated, so he only put his feet in and would run back to the hot tub. I bought him Lighting McQueen goggles and he loved wearing them at the pool.
Parker loved kicking up the water in this tide pool.

Finally a pose with Parker and Mommy (and Caleb). It is always hard to get Parker to look at the camera.

Daddy and Parker at the Mardis Gras parade in Orange Beach. It was very tame and very kid friendly. We got a lot of beads.

Parker running back towards me to dry him off. It was so cold this day, but he wanted to be in the water at the beach.
