Fun watching the trains

On Sunday with my parents we went to Irondale Cafe (whistle stop cafe) for lunch and then got to spend time outside watching the trains go by. It was a lot of fun to see the boys really get excited to put pennies on the tracks and then look for them after the trains went by. This is one of our favorite places to go and get a great home-cooked meal. The Boys looking for their pennies that they put on the track. We got some really cool ones.
Caleb was so excited to see the Big TRAINS up in person going by him fast.
The boys watching the train go by. They loved watching them.

Look at me MOM. That is a train over there. So cool.

Caleb enjoying snuggle time with Grandma. So glad that Grandpa and Grandma came in town to celebrate my 1 year birthday.

CALEB REID turns 1 years old

Caleb turned 1 years old yesterday. Wow how the time has gone by so fast. This little boy has brought us such joy and spunk this past year. We are so thrilled to have him part of our family. Yesterday on his birthday we had a farm themed birthday party for Caleb. Caleb looking at the bale of hay with a pitch fork and duck on it.
The farm cake that I made. It took me all day to bake 3 different cakes and then to put it all together with icing and candy.
The cupcakes were pigs, cows and ducks. I even made animal shaped sugar cookies, haystack cookies, rice krispies for the guests to eat while here at our house.
Caleb had his own personal little green cake with chocolate chips on it. He first just looked at it and all of us who were looking at him. We even put a little chick cupcake by him hoping to entice him to dive in.
We even gave him a fork to help. He decided to stick the chick with it.
Finally in the end, he did smash his own cake and eat some of it as well.
This cake was so yummy and fun Mommy to dive into with my fork. I can't believe you didn't tell me NO for making a mess out of my food.

Summer time with pool time Fun

This morning I cleaned out the kiddie pool so we could put it on the back patio area. Caleb didn't like getting in it, he just wanted to be on the outside of it touching the water. Of course Parker loved the pool and was jumping around and sliding down the slide. So glad that we will have this again this summer for the boys to cool off in the hot summer days. Mom look at me in my bathing suit near the water
Mom look how silly I can be with the rubber ducks
My silly cute boys having fun in the pool
Caleb walking around in the kitchen. He is really getting the walking thing down and starting to move fast.
Look at me!! I can do it Dad.

Cheerios on Caleb

The other morning while I was taking a shower, David was feeding Caleb some cheerios. Caleb then laid his head down on top of the cheerios and got them stuck to his face. So cute to see them on his face, so Daddy took some cute pics of him.
hehe look at me Daddy!

Caleb is Walking

Our sweet Caleb is now walking. Two weeks ago he took his first steps and then it turned into 10 steps last weekend. All week he is trying to go further. Well today he is taking so many steps that we can't even count them because we are thrilled to have him walking. Watch out here I come!!!! I just love this picture of Caleb. He is so full of laughter and fun.
Mom look at me behind my walker. I can really move with it.
Only a few weeks until Caleb turns 1 years old and he is walking. He isn't saying many words, but that is okay. We love you Caleb Reid.

David and Parker go Camping

David told Parker this week for this last week of school that they could camp out in the basement on Friday night with a movie and popcorn. Well on Friday afternoon, Parker tells me he wants to camp out in the backyard. So I texted David to tell him to pick up a tent from UAB rec center renting equipment area. David and I were shocked that Parker wanted to camp out in a tent. So we blew up the air matresses and put them in the tent and closed it up so the bugs wouldn't get in it before they went to sleep. Parker was so excited and we really thought he wouldn't make it all night, but he did. David and Parker enjoyed their special time together and I wonder what they talked about out there under the stars.
Caleb and I enjoyed staying inside the house all night with the air condition. The 2 man tent
Parker was so excited to be getting in the tent for the night
Here I am all ready to sleep in the tent
David and Parker all ready to zip it up and try to fall asleep outside

Happy Mother's Day

For Mother's Day we went to the Irondale Cafe (whistle stop cafe) for lunch and to watch the trains go by. While Daddy was paying the bill we went outside to watch a train go by. Parker wanted to sit on this bench. The train was really loud so Parker put his hands over his ears while Caleb had big eyes watching it go by. This was the first time for Caleb to see a train up close.
Trying to get them to look at me, but they were watching the train
I wanted a picture of all my boys, but Parker didnt' want to sit near Daddy and Caleb. My silly boys.
Mommy with her boys. I love being a mother and I am so blessed to be Parker and Caleb's mother.
David gave me 4 knock out roses to plant in our garden, which we did last weekend. I am excited to be able to cut roses throughout the summer from them to have in the house. Parker wanted to buy me a pink snuggie and he did.
David then got me the "table of contents" cookout which is the Junior League of Birmingham newest cookbook. I am excited to try new recipes on the family.
It was a great day to spend with my boys.
