I also made 70 sunflower/pictures for Parker's silent auction at school. So the weekend was nothing but cutting out and using lots of glue to complete this project. In the end it was great and everyone loved them.

I have been busy
These past few weeks have been really busy for me. I had another bread show and did farely well for it being a spring show and the first time they had it. In the midst of baking, I finally found some fabric to recover my 10 dining room chairs. These were really hard to do and took time to complete them. I am finishing up my last one today.

Easter 2010
Happy Easter! Today we went to church and enjoyed a great service with the sermon, choir and orchestra playing. Afterwards we went to Panera for Parker's & Caleb's blueberry muffin fix. Can't miss out on this weekly tradition. We then enjoyed watching Parker hunt for his easter eggs in our yard. The neighbor boys helped us hide them and their Mom took our family photo in exchange for their family photo. What a wonderful day to celebrate Jesus raising from the dead for us and taking all of our sins away. Hope you had a wonderful Easter.

Parker's Quilt
This week I have worked hard on making Parker a quilt out of some of the baby clothes that he wore. It has been a lot of fun remembering what he wore at that age. I even used a flat sheet from our bed for the back. So the back is blue & white striped with teddy bears on it. They were on sale many years ago at the polo outlet and David loved them.
Stay tuned for Caleb's quilt. I have the pieces cut out, but I need to make more bread this week for a show that I will be doing on the 10th in Homewood. Plus I have also started to recover our dining room chairs. There are so many staples on those things, that it will take a while to recover all 10 of them.

The boys
It is so hard to get pictures of the boys both looking at the camera and not doing something funny. Caleb will be 10 months old on Monday April 5th. He has finally started crawling this week. He drags one leg as he goes. But at least he is now happy to be able to get around on his own. He also loves to stand up by the furniture and walk around. A few times he has been able to pull himself up. Last night at midnight David went upstairs to find Caleb sitting up in his crib and just playing. Too funny that he was wide awake at that hour. This past week after nap time I would find him either sitting up in the crib or all at one end of the crib with his blankets & stuff animals.
Our silly boys make us laugh all the time. Life is so great with them. We enjoyed a great Family Date Night out last night. Going to our favorite mexican place and our favorite ice cream place. We also got 2 items for Caleb's first birthday from Costco yesterday. He will be getting a sand/water table and a bubble maker. Of course Parker thinks we need to open them up now for himself. They will have lots of fun with these toys this summer.

Spring Break 2010
Last week was Spring Break for us. Since my parents have been at the beach for 6 weeks, we were invited to go down for the week. This was part of our Christmas present from my parents.
My sister Rachael and her two children also came down there for the week so the cousins could play together. We had great weather all week except for one rainy day, so we went shopping and were able to get some clothes for the boys. Love those deals at the Foley outlet mall. Now it is back to a normal routine this week. So glad that we were able to go on a vacation for the week.
Having fun in the big bathtub. Caleb thought it was so cool to be in there with all of them.
Grandpa with Will, Kate and Parker all looking for beach toys.

The 3 of them are on top of a big sand pile
Parker had fun looking in the water for shells, crabs and sand fleas.

Spring is Here
I just love our yard. David and I have planted lots of Perennials and bulbs all around so we can enjoy the different seasons with flowers. Right now the daffodils are in full bloom along with the camellias, so I have been enjoying cuttings of both to have in my kitchen sink window. Soon other plants will make their way out of the ground for us to enjoy. So happy have the warmer days and the boys love it as well.

Caleb is 9 months old
Caleb Reid Crossman is 9 months old. We went to the doctor to have his 9 month check up. Caleb now weighs 22 lbs. 5 oz. and is 29-1/2 inches tall. Wow he is really growing up fast. While we were in the doctor's office Caleb threw up everywhere (this was the 2nd time that day). So when the doc came in, I mentioned it and he checked his ears and Caleb has a double ear infection. Caleb doesn't show the signs of an ear infection like Parker did so we had no idea he was getting sick. He is always a very happy smiley laid back little boy. By the end of the day Caleb had thrown up 4 times that day and wasn't wanting to eat anything & was finally showing us signs of him not feeling good. Poor sweet Caleb.
He has finally decided this past week that it is okay to roll over on his tummy and then push himself backwards. He will then get fussy and want you to sit him up again, but to only go right back to his tummy. He has also learned to get on all fours, but doesn't know what to do next and ends up on his belly. The other thing that he likes to do is stand up and hold onto us or the sofa. So we are getting close to him either crawling or maybe walking soon. His world will then be a bigger place for him to explore.
This picture was taken by Parker as we waited in the exam room
